All night it was storming. The wind was so powerful that the windows continued to shake as rain poured against the building. It was so strange. The wind reminded me of how much more powerful GOD is :) . It was very comforting to hear the turbulance, maybe so much that I did not want to wake up. The thought of going out in the rain bothered me. I did not want to go out in such a storm. But the funny part is ... when I thought of that ... I thought of the song grace like rain. Amoung with other songs, grace like rain talkes about our mess-ups, inperfections, and thoughts can be cleansed by Gods grace that washes us. It reminded me of another song by casting crowns called I will praise you in this storm. A question of why am I afraid to go out in this storm if that is what I need to understand God's grace.
It made me happy. As I prepared my self, I changed my backback to a simple handbag that I got over the weekend. With a plactic bag covering the hand bag and school materials, my umbrella, and rainboots, I headed to class. Oddly enough, by the time I got out side, the wind was strong, but the rain had diminished to a simple drizzle.
After I got out of class I realized that the rain had not only completely stopped, but the sky was blue and the sun shown bright in the sky. :O!! ... WOW!! So strange .. So cool!. I looked down; with my rainboots on, my umbrella in hand, and my bag covered for protection I realized that I must look very strange. It was almost as if it had not rained at all. I am very thankful, this morning even though in the afternoon I looked silly, in the morning I felt profoundly protected and loved. <3
Lunch conisted of past mashed potatoes +carrots+breadcumbs+flour+egg+onion+mirin+oil = kuroke (crocket or... a patatoe patty!) + mayo ofcoarse :)! I made an omlett with the remaining egg+ another and veggies like spinach and cabbage. The best part was not only was the food delicious, but I got to eat with Lilly and Net :). Enna goined in later too. Oishikatta desu! I got to try Lilly's food too! It was instant noodles, but it was not just that, it had a sour taste from her Thai seasoning. So yummy :)
Tonight we had Education Network meeting. I actually went this time!!! FINALLYY!! .. But it was freeezzzzinggg outside (so windy and cold). Well.. not compared to when it snows or there is ice... but with only the couple of layers I had on.. I was collddd :( .
The meeting was good :) We got put into pairs, and I ger to be with the 9-12 year olds :) SOO COOl!!! Especially since it reminds me of home... since my little brother is 11 years old <3!! .
We talked about the plan for events and activities for the kids to learn multi-cultural things and english :)! (The goal of Education Network is to teach, play, and interact with a group of elementary school kids downtown and help then learn english :)
We will have a Christmas event where they will perform and present somthing that they made or did :) ... so we are thinking of ideas... If any one has ideas... please let me knoww!!! :)
I considered making a kind of food, or drums or somthing that the kids could make and use durring one of the song performances.. (i wanted little drummer boy)!!
Hmm... We will see. :P
