October 6th, 2012- pics up

Saturday!!!! :)
A group of about 11 of us went to OITA today :)
We took the Kamegawa bus to Beppu station, then hopped on the train to Oita katsu.
It was hard being in such a large group, due to keeping track of people and intrests of activities.

When we got to Oita, we went to an arcade/Chuck-E-Cheese like place that had so many games! We took pictures in the a Japanese photobooth that is called Pelikura (sounds like pelicula in spanish). We looked so cutee, and some what strange :P, but It was interesting trying to fit all 11 of us in the picture... some showed in some pictures, and other people showed in other pictures... it was really nice! :D!

Goal was to buy clothes :)! ... well kinda did not happen so much...
I did get two items of clothing that were cheap :)! (under $10 equivalant) ...{ but I still need winter clothes :\}

Near the outside of the restraunt... there was a door with an interesting handle, Monika wanted to sit by it :)

But we walked around, I took lots of pictures, and also... ate at an American styled restraunt.

I found a thrift store :)! But due to time.. I did not get the chance to go :(. We went to find our two group members that stayed at the park when we went to get food, but they had already left to walk around and we could not find them :(!!

We split up soon afterwards and decided upon a meeting spot. Cherrychan and I went to look for cheap/cute clothes :)! ... We found some.. but not many, and the bit that we found for the most part did not work out to be either cheap enough or not as cute as we wanted.. :\... I got to buy one shirt thoe:) It was at a store called UniQlo (it is kinda like Japan's equivalant to Forever21... except I liked these clothes more :P) It is strange.. the materials that are used here are so foreign to me.. even the styles... like they look similar to ones I used to seeing, but there is somthing strange and different that I am not used to... Also.. in the dressing rooms, you take of your shoes to go in, and by the service counter in the dressing room, there was a back room that had someone sewing up and mending some of the merchandise!! :O.. WOW I was really surprised... usually in the US, we do not mend it.. it would be on sale... or even just left on the rack. What a good money saving tactic :).

For one, the girls usually wear tights.. (with everything!!) .. The materials are more indie like... and the arms on the shirts are low... like.. as if you are not supposed to be able to lift up your arms... ( i am soo not used to this .. ) The shoes are SUPPERR cute !! And they do not seem to have much bulky winter wear, but alot of fur looking things and thin soft layers. When cold, most girls I see wear shawls instead of coats.. ( i think ?) .

Today was a long day of Walking WAlking WALKINg :P... It was nice thoe.
We met up at 7pm, and left to catch the train... At the station we split again. Monika, Nindya and I went to go shopping for groceries, and ... I also found another shirt :)! It was sooo cute!! ( it is green)
We were able to get our shopping done (praise the LORD)! .. ANddddd... I spent less!! Plus got some Japanese cookies (to share :) and Mirin.. which is used in cooking:)

When we arrived.. I was worn out! I put things away and soon after.. went to bed :)
